Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist

Hours of Work: 16.0 – 24.0 hours per week

Located in London, Ontario Southern Ontario Fertility Technologies (S.O.F.T.) has been providing care in an established private practice for both infertility and women’s health care over the past 12 years. With two state-of-the-art ultrasound suites and improved ultrasound capabilities we are looking to fill a need for a permanent part-time position within our ultrasound team. This position will change in October 2012 to a temporary full-time position for a minimum of 12 months to cover a maternity leave.
Using the latest in 3D/4D technology our staff has an ability to work closely with our clients in a very rewarding role and maintain a very high level of skill. Accountable to our Business Manager the successful candidate will assist with department needs on a set schedule. The position does involve weekend work on a scheduled rotation (mornings only).
Qualifications:
Required:
- Registration with The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP)
- Proficiency in obstetrical, pelvic and vaginal ultrasounds
- Ability to work on a regular basis and function effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary work environment
- Possess effective communication skills; oral, written and verbal
Preferred:
- Proficiency with nuchal translucency scans and current registration with Fetal Medicine International (or currently seeking registration)
- 2 years of experience (1,000 hours/scans)
