Authored by Dr. James Martin this page holds one of the most extensive collections of patient targeted information available online on the essential topics of infertility, men’s and women’s health.

MOTHERISK:

Considered the leading authority on questions, research and literature on safety during pregnancy this website sponsored by the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario is an invaluable resource for expecting families.  With toll-free Helplines and information collected from authorities on a host of issues/concerns this resource is often S.O.F.T.’s first suggestion when asked about medications, immunizations or other related issues from expecting families.  Additional resources on breastfeeding, folic acid, nutrition and morning sickness are available both online and via telephone.

Sponsored by the Ontario government this website is often referred to as “Ontario’s maternal, newborn and early child development resource centre” and provides an informative resource titled “Is there a baby in your future?“  This resource offers prospective parents a tool in helping prepare for a child during the first steps in planning.

Commissioners Pharmacy:

Located at 163 Commissioners Rd W. in London this pharmacy is well known to patients at S.O.F.T..  Pharmacist Atef Rizkalla and his staff are the warm friendly faces many of our patients meet when they go to pick up their fertility medications that are always in stock.  With accessible hours and a convenient location to S.O.F.T. “Your Compounding Pharmacy” offers patients selection, a personal touch and an ability to create medications especially for your needs.

FertilityLifeLines:

Sponsored by fertility drug manufacturer EMD Serono (maker of Serophene, Gonal-f & Ovidrel) this educational online resource provides information via online & telephone access for your questions related to fertility treatment, patient stories and specifics on EMD Serono products (medication guide) by putting you in direct contact with customer service representatives, fertility nurses or specialists.

FerringFertility.ca:

This online resource for patients using Ferring products (Bravelle, Repronex or Menopur injections) requires a DIN# (found on the medication or on your S.O.F.T. pharmacy receipt) to access but gives patients a number of resources and available contacts for questions related to medication or issues with medications after-hours.  A supplementary site, www.yourfertilitytreatments.ca, is another great resource from Ferring for patients to access.

MyFertility.ca:

This patient support page is from drug manufacturer Schering-Plough (maker of Puregon, HCG and Orgalutran) with resources for patients on testing, diagnosis, therapy options and medications. 

Rainbow Health Ontario:

This website aims to help LGBT individuals gain better access to healthcare without stereotypes, prejudices or discrimination and discusses specific health issues that many patients can face.

Infertility Network:

Founded by Diane Allen in Toronto, Ontario in the early 1990′s this network helps couples cope with the stresses of infertility through seminars, support groups and various resources.

Fertile Future:

Fertile Future is a national charitable organization that provides information, support and services to cancer patients and oncology professionals for preserving fertility and providing options prior and during treatment.

IVF.ca:

IVF.ca is a Canadian founded and operated online resource which holds a member forum, clinic locator and download information.

AttainFertilityNetwork:

A networked based in the United States, AttainFertility sponsors a blog, extensive facebook community and online resouces including a list of clinics as members of the network across the USA.
